1. Baja Bistro 2414 Beacon Ave S. Donal Murphy. Donal is originally from Cork, Ireland and studied design for print and media communications. In terms of his creative output, he has a number of irons in the fire. His graphic design training has influenced him in a the way that often seeks to represent things with very simple shapes, as a sort of an extension of logo design. 6. Culture Shakti Dance Studio. 2524 16th Ave S., #311. (Located on top floor of El Centro de la Raza). 2:30- 5pm. Jack Johnston. Not Drawn 2 Size. I with water-based paint pens and inks, spray enamel, graphite, and collage with tissue and found paper, on surfaces from archival paper and plastic film to Masonite. I aim for a shallow depth, like a murky pool revealing what only what floats near the surface, or a culture on a specimen slide. Marks are often determined by the templates at hand: lines and shapes from hand-cut stencils, and the imprints of tape spools, toilet paper rolls and plastic shirt-collar stays. The process to dictates an image: a smudge a spray a stain; the guiding intention of any piece is to work from what appears. The initial marks provide the challenge of the piece, to describe a balance, to forge a truce between automatic and intentional. jackjohnston.tumblr.com

8. Fresh Flours. 1624 S McClellan St. Sam Hamrick. Sam Hamrick is a Seattle artist who has been making prints since the early 1980s. Primarily self-taught, he works in various types of printing mediums including linocut and block cut. 26. Lee Family Association 3217 Beacon Ave S. Cheryl Cromer. The works displayed are twigs or small tree branches gathered from driftwood along various shores of Puget Sound. I closely observe these found bits of trees while I clean and sometimes lightly sand them. Then I continue to look into each piece until I am able to see some of its contents. For most of them, I make the contents more observable using permanent inks drawn onto the wood using pens or sometimes painted on as well. Each piece has its own individuality and energy to share with the observer.

Kyndahl Carlson. Blessings in Nature began over the summer of 2012 as a request to the Universe at large for inspiration in my life. Jennifer Ahrnkiel Haley loves taking pictures and has for as long as she can remember. She grew up in Maple Valley and has worked for the Tahoma School District for almost 20 years. From her first 110 camera to the current DSLR, every camera has been an upgrade to get the ultimate shot. Things got serious when she set her sights on the hummingbirds who visit her yard all year long. Over the past few years, Jameson S Hubbard has focused on illuminating the small and large realities of how humans fit into an ecological relationship with their environment. By working with the traditional, low-tech medium of woodblock relief printmaking, he brings out the strong, sculptural character of the carved line while focusing on the narrative tradition of figurative art. What inspires me to take pictures is the architecture, things like the whole building or maybe a cool detail on the side.
